Trichocereus Bridgesii Monstrose – AKA Penis Cactus – Clone A (10 – 15cm)
Trichocereus Bridgesii Monstrose aka “Penis Cactus” is a clustering monstrous cactus with prostrate growth habit, branching at the base and slowly growing up to 2 feet tall. The plant develops numerous cucumber shapes with long spines about two to three inches wide and six to ten inches long. The stems are a light glaucous green with only a few spiny areoles in the basal portion. The upper part of the stem is a smooth cylinder, the lower part can be spiny and is often ribbed.
This is Clone A which has a short clumping stem segments.
Because of its vigorous rootstock, Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose is also suitable as a grafting rootstock for some other rare cacti that you would like to accelerate.
This plant is very cold hardy and does well in containers. Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose can also be planted out in open gardens. Be sure the soil is well drained and winter watering is kept to a minimum.
